Two people have been arrested and another suspect is at-large in connection with a shooting earlier this month that left one person dead.

2020欧洲杯正规平台Marquise D. Owens, 27, and Travecia Walker were arrested Sunday in connection with the case, said Deputy Shade McMillian, spokesman for the Leon County Sheriff's Office. Deputies are searching for a third suspect, whose identity was not released.

The two were arrested in connection with the April 10 shooting death of Kendrick Bostic, which happened in the 2000 block of Autumn Lane off Springhill Road in southwest Tallahassee.

Two victims were taken after the shooting to a local hospital. One of them, Kendrick Bostic, died later that day. The other victim was treated and released, LCSO said.

Owens was arrested on charges including premeditated homicide, firing a weapon inside a vehicle or building and possession of weapon by a convicted felon, according to court records.

2020欧洲杯正规平台Walker initially was arrested earlier — two days after the shooting — on a charge of being an accessory after the fact of a capital felony. She was placed on pretrial release but was arrested less than a week later on another accessory charge.

2020欧洲杯正规平台Details in the case are murky. The Sheriff's Office hasn't released details because of the ongoing investigation and court documents in Owens' case were not immediately available.

2020欧洲杯正规平台Most of the records in Walker's case were sealed at the request of detectives, who said it could compromise their investigation. They noted in court documents that they were still looking for at least two suspects and possible witnesses.

"Release of information in the probable cause affidavits and offense reports for trhis case could compromise the integrity of pending interviews by allowing potential interviewees to alter their testimony based on the information," an LCSO detective wrote.

2020欧洲杯正规平台Owens has a history of arrests in Leon County dating back to 2012 on charges including grand theft auto, criminal mischief and firearms offenses, records show.

2020欧洲杯正规平台Tallahassee attorney Craig J. Brown, who is representing Walker, said he is gathering information about what happened and plans to meet with his client today.

"Right now our position is she was not involved," he said. "Some of the circumstances look like maybe someone thought she was.”

He said investigators likely arrested and released her in hopes she could provide more information. But she couldn't, he said.

"At this point I don’t think she has any information to offer," Brown said. "That could change in the future.”

Both Owens and Walker are being housed in the Leon County Detention Facility. Owens was ordered held without bond; Walker's first court appearance was set for Tuesday.

So far this year, five people have died and 12 have been injured in 17 shootings in Tallahassee and Leon County, .
